American Democrats & Independents Living In Europe

Our effort is to energize the European Absentee Balloters! Our objective is to help elect a Democrat for president and to increase the number of Democrat in the Congress. We believe or national security is more threaten than at any time during the past 60 years. We believe our current foreign policy, and its execution, is misguided and has contributed significantly to this national tragedy. We believe we need to bring more honesty to government. Therefore, we intend to contribute with our votes and our dollars to the Democratic Presidential Aspirant we believe will best re-establish the image of our country as a compassionate and peace loving county, which happens to possess the best trained and most powerful military force in the world. Living and working in Europe give us a unique and honest perspective of how our county is viewed by our European friends and neighbors. Today, we are not happy about how they view our country. We believe the Bush Administration has formulated and executed foreign policies that have seriously undermined our national security. Even as individual Americans, we find that we are less safe living in Europe and more prone to verbal and physical abuse. However, the majority of our friends and neighbors has not abandoned us, as individuals, and appear to accept us and tolerate our presence. Some of us are living here, while serving our country in uniform. While in uniform, in some cases, we can see and feel the vile hatred streaming from the eyes of those we pass in the streets, and not just from those we encounter in Iraq and Afghanistan. We sense it from some men and women on the European streets of our respective towns and cities. We must now look over our shoulders in anticipation of the possible danger. These Bush policies have caused our European neighbors to speak openly about how they detest our government leaders. Most of these vehement utterances are directed toward our president. We are not happy hearing a foreigner deride our president. Most of us would never join in such negative discussions, with foreigners, about our government officials. Yet, we must suffer in silence because we agree with much of what is being said about the policies our president has formulated and perpetuated during the past six years. Therefore, we believe we must energize our European absentee balloters and ensure that we elect a president who will reverse this negative US image around the world. We believe we have an excellent crop of Democrats vying for the Democratic Presidential Nomination and we intend to do our part to ensure his or her elevation to the presidency of the United States!
