I see it everyday in my business. Too bad Obama had to say the Annie Oakley comparison to Hillary. It made him look like an ASS. I have no respect for him.

I didn't hear much outcry at all from the DNC leaders or from the male Democratic candidates regarding the sexism in the primary season. I know Senator Clinton can fight her own battles but the MSM went way over the line time after time. Few seemed to care.

Sadly Terry, there was none. Not only is this sexist, but it brings back the memories of the "old south" which should never be forgotten, but should be learned to live with and corrected.

Is this cartoon just plain bad taste or is it sexist?

We see many of these from everyone to Bush all the way down the food chain. We even post them when we Bush bash. We think that is all fair....except when it hits home. We can't have it both ways. If its 'fun' and 'fair' for one than it is for all.

These guys are against everything that has to do with a Democrat, whether its Hillary or Obama.

I'll readily acknowledge that Hillar Clinton is and has been a victim of sexism in the campaign and beyond; in fact, i doubt you can be a women in America - no scratch that, the WORLD - without being oppressed by it on a daily basis.

it is a serious, and ENDEMIC problem that requires serious attention, and i would only hope to see as much progress on this front in my lifetime that i have seen on Obama's front.

and i'm willing to bet that we will see that change happen; we will make it real in our lifetimes.

i guess i had hoped to see a more in depth discussion of sexism and how cartoons like the one in the original post represent an intrinsic problem in our society, and how might we turn back the tide on it.

instead, i am saddened to see an important issue once again leveraged in personal ways.

the cartoon is from a republican, yet fully 75% of the comments here are bashing the DNC and Obama. What gives?

Several thing about this cartoon not the least of which is that it was created by a right wing republican smear machine and as for cartoons like this, there are hundreds more and worse of Obama.

The big objection to the cartoon on the New yorker was that it was on the cover of a popular magazine. That is quite a difference from a political cartoon such as the one you link too of which, as I mentioned there are at least as many of those of Obama as there are of Hillary so she is no special victim in that lampooning.
