I know we can do better than Tom Latham, who has been a rubberstamp for George Bush’s agenda. In Tom Latham, we have a congressman who has continually opposed women’s reproductive rights and has given a green light and a blank check to George Bush’s war in Iraq. Together, we will make a difference for those struggling to get by on the minimum wage. We will make a difference for those who cannot afford access to quality healthcare. We will make a difference for those brave men and women returning from Iraq and Afghanistan and facing life with an injury and the scars of war. We will make a difference when we repeal the unfunded mandate known as No Child Left Behind. We will make a difference when we invest in homegrown energy alternatives which lessen our dependence on foreign oil, clean up our environment, and put Iowans to work at high-paying jobs which can’t be outsourced and can be unionized. This a true chance at history and a chance to turn a purple state into a full fledged blue state in the middle of Red Territory!

And we hope the DCCC is watching, too.

Iowa's 4th District looks like it's leaning blue, True Blue, if they throw some of their support to Becky, maybe we'll se another Iowa Congressional District help turn the whole state blue.

It's great to see a REAL Iowan win that contest, best of luck and full speed ahead!

We could have had the first woman president

anything else is kinda meaningless it is the ultimate glass ceiling
Re: We could have had the first woman president
I dont know how you can call this meaningless. Maybe it is for you in big cities, but this is Iowa! This is farmland and rural country, very old school. This should be looked upon as great achievement by women everywhere and men also, Mr. Bill
