Pittsburghers for Hillary

This group is for Pittsburghers who are interested in seeing Senator Hillary Clinton become President Hillary Rodham Clinton. Strategies and campaigning opportunities will be brainstormed and discussed.

It's not really such a big deal,

What Ferraro meant could have been said, more thoughfully, and without the consequence of everyone lining up to jump down her throat. That, however, is what happens without a good wordsmith to help out.

Let's pose a few thoughts...

Obama wrote a good book..
Kipling, Vonnegut, Albee, and thousands of others have done so as well

Obama has character and charm...
I like Paul Newman's better, in fact I like all of his characters better, especially Cool Hand Luke, "Just cos it's yo job, boss, don't make it right "

Obama.......
Well, that's about it,
As far as being a "statesman", he hasn't done much for Illinois, except to increase polution, deal with smarm for a big house, and get investigated by the IRS for his contributions from the United Christians....for starters.

His political resume is squat compared to Dennis Kucinich, Bill Richardson, Edwards, Biden, Gore, Clinton and the majority of the other candidates as well as many other democrats in general.

Ferraro said he is "Lucky" but failed to see and point out that luck has nothing to do with Obama.

Obama has carefully orchesrated his campaign and left nothing to luck, or chance.

If you look back, take a close look, a meticulously well planned and constructed campaign has been in the works years prior to his book. Luck?

It would be dumb luck if his followers were to recognize, at this point, the manipulative architecture of his campaign, but that will come in time. Obama has dimished the power of luck with careful mechanical precision and steadfast momemtum. The illusion always seems real, but if you look behind the curtain, the wizard is a very hungry man, and this isn't OZ.

I remember roughly 30 years ago in film class, watching "The Blob" (Steve McQueen), thinking what a comical parody and perfect venue for satire. I look at Obama pretty much the same way now.

Most everyone knew he would take Mississippi, that was a given, though I had my "hopes". Fine, it's a word I'll probably never use without quotes or with a straight face again, but if Mississippi keeps the race going, that is cool, we need to make it stretch, and keep the repos on their toes.

What is not cool is the irrate, head biting hounds of Obama demanding Ferraro step down as a "Fundraiser?", umm yeah...she could do alot of damage, ooooooh.

Jimmeny Crickets, Ms. Rice, at least we didn't have her talking to the foreign press for interviews, and may I suggest a shorter leash, with a lovely studded collar?

Keep your hope
I'll keep it real

Come'on Baby, Let's do the Twist!

Okay... um excuse me... but, um.

I'm confused again.

So when this all started Obama's camp was claiming they got the undecided votes and the liberal republican votes. By saying that he was seen as a person who unified the country and crossed party lines.

hmmmmm

So, coming to the present, Mississippi exit polls show that 13% of the democrats who voted used to be Republicans and that CLINTON was the candidate of choice for that population. By saying that she is seen as a case of the Republicans manipulating the caucus to get the candidate elected that they can beat.

I don't get it. Why is it okay for him to get the Republican vote but it isn't okay for her to get it?

.... sometimes the posts on this site make my head spin....

We fight the fights we can win - Clinton '08

what happens when we attack

It is easy for emotions to get out of control and our beliefs in one candidate over another can cause us to say things that damage our candidate or even party far more than it helps our arguement.

Newsweek had this article:

http://www.newsweek.com/id/120070

It highlights a key thing I have seen here. I know we can get mean - I know we through around loyalties and middle names. And, yeah, I realize we taked about being more civil a couple weeks ago... but this article really accents the main reason to keep things respectable when discussing the issues or trying to get out the vote in states that have yet to hold their primary/caucus.

Thank you for reading

Is is fair to be critical of Hillary for befriending the enemy?

My favorite quote of President Lincoln. Which was said in reply to those who were critical of his efforts to negociate diplomatically with his opposition.

"Do I not destroy my enemies when I make them my friends?"

She is brilliant, a pro, a master.
How many times in her 35 years in the public eye has she masterfully negociated for people in need, people who were refugees, poverty stricken people, diseased people, uneducated people, she has fought for them with tenacity and the willingness to ask them" What is it that you want?", when no one else cared.

I marvel at her willingness to listen rather than give speeches, and at her grace and will power under pressure. She is rock solid, unwavering and as authentically genuine as they come, at least in politics.

Look, like it or not, no one has a better chance of getting elected or doing a better job than her. For all those chomping at the bit to find flaw, and be critical, perhaps you might consider living in another country if you insist on hating her so much.

While Obama may not be the first choice as president, he will make a competant VP, much better than the list of dinks in the past. For all of you who don't remember how idiotic the VP's in our history have been, oy... it just speaks of inexperience.....

Received from Hillary today...

This content came in an email from Senator Clinton today. Please act:

"Last week the Senate passed historic legislation that calls for a phased redeployment for our troops in Iraq while ensuring they have the support they need. It's an important first step in ending the war to Iraq. But President Bush has threatened to veto the bill.

The American people have had enough of the president's failed strategy in Iraq. Join Hillary and me in telling him to listen to the will of the people and to Congress, withdraw his veto threat, and begin phased deployment of the troops out of Iraq."
