Women have always had the insight and ability to influence opinion and to enlighten society on the needs of its people. We can no longer stand by and watch our country's demise in the world. It is very disturbing that the Republican Party seems to think that that if the country is not run by "them" it will go to hell in a hand basket. Well we are already there thanks to "them" and it is very apparent that the REAL majority in this country isn't having it anymore.
This race has made me proud to be a Democrat again (thanks to Barack Obama, John Edwards and others in the Party who sincerely champion democracy and peace) and I hope that the momentum we have will continue and run "them" over in November.
I hope that our Party gets it right at the Convention in Denver (if it comes down to a Superdelegate vote) and does not embarass those of us who have come to believe again. Our nominee should reflect the decision of all the people - not just a chosen few.
We cannot afford more of the same. We must also put our best foot forward and show the world that America can and will stand for integrity, generousity and respect of its fellow man.
