All I can say is that seems that all we have is doom and gloom, at least according to republicans. We need to shed everything like pesky civil liberty organizations and social service offices so that the poor family who has no phone, computer, and possibly having no vehicle to travel will now have to travel 20-30 miles to get any assistance.
Hoood a thunk it. or maybe just hit the button too many times. Well anyway I personally am not allowed to discuss my thoughts on either war. Me being in the military and all. what do you guys think about it.

Hello everyone just checking back with you guys. I have been on a tear lately and have now crossed the 4000 doors knocked and its early in the season. It is totally awesome and I have met a whole lot of good folks and some crazies. Well if you don't know anything about Idaho I will give you a quik rundown, exsept for the south we are the most conservative state exsept for Utah but we do have the highest percentage of elected republicans in all federal, state and local positions at 82%, and the lunatics have the run of the assylum.
Lately they have descided to introduce the dissolution of the 17th Amendment into there party platform, as well as the formation of unregulated state militias. and as the final peice of lunacy they have descided to attempt to put wording that would allow them to not pay federal taxes. Well I don't see how they can pay for things when 70 percent of our funding comes from federal tax money. Well enough ranting I will be working hard to make things better in my state and my nation. And I hope you are willing to do the same.
I know that many of you are stuck on issues affecting you or your family. I'm a big picture guy yes I do want change. but you still have to have 50+1 percentage of the population understand the issue and there in lies the problem there is so much missinformation that it is hard to get the average american to back large changes.
Get out there and volunteer make a difference in your community.

With the new treaty we will be allowed to have 1,550 of our most powerful warheads which "each" has the power to destroy 400 miles that means we could destroy 620,000 miles or destroy the whole planet 24.8 times considering the planets circumference is 24,900 miles square.
President Barack Obama and President Dmitry Medvedev of Russia today sealed a new nuclear arms reduction treaty, which entails a considerable new reduction of the strategic missiles each side has deployed, The Washington Post reports.
The agreement, which still has to be ratified in the U.S. Senate and in Russia, replaces a nearly two-decade-long pact calling for both nations to cut down their arsenals of thousands of long-range nuclear weapons. It also requires both sides to decrease the stockpiles of their most dangerous weapons, those already deployed and ready to launch at long-range targets, by about 30 percent, allowing each side to retain about 1,550 such warheads.
The new deal resulted from negotiations that went on far longer than officials had expected. The 1991 START treaty expired in early December last year, forcing the presidents of both countries to pledge they would abide by its parameters until a new treaty could be forged

Every person you talk to about voting gets us closer to victory!
Start early, make freinds for life!
Back in the FDR days liberalism which in its own way changed the Face of America, and brought with it Democratic victory after Democratic victory began to loose it's traction why because it moved away from it's ideals which was change. It began to do what most ideologies do create a structured change approach. So Americans loss interest and moved more towards a profit based existence.
It wasn't till the late 80's that a new movement had just begun to sprout roots. Many would say that it began during the Clinton presidency, but that would be untrue. Yes Clinton was a great president, but he was the most conservative Democrat to run ever and his views don't mesh with a true change movement. He liked to take existing structures and make them work better. Which isn't a bad thing it is just too difficult to make completly broken buerocracy's work.
So what am I getting at today's progressive movement is again about change. And Big change which is scaring the elderly becuase they have gotten use to the structures of our society. How will todays progressive movement affect the country we live in, I don't know. What you can say is it will be different, history will judge if it was better. I will just say I hope for the best thing possible.
Thats pretty good considering that the country is just starting to come out of the deepest recession ever. Plus the stats are scewed considering the average Democratic leaning state is in the 60's and the average Republican leaning state is 39-41% Hawaii and DC are above 70%. I cannot wait until we start really rebounding. We will totally crush the Rebublocons this fall.
On another note we need to elect a new Speaker of the House. Pelosi has become a liability because most people in the country even Democrats don't respect or like her. That's even in the strongest Dem states.
PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 22, 2010 (McClatchy-Tribune News Service delivered by Newstex) -- Last month, Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer of South Carolina said that when the government helps the poor, it's like people feeding stray animals that continually "breed."
And this month, Colorado state legislator Spencer Swalm said poor people in single-family homes are "dysfunctional."
Both statements riled some Americans from the Piedmont to the Rockies and underscored a widely held belief: In tough times, people are tough on the poor.
In an April 2009 poll by the Pew Research Center in Washington, 72 percent agreed with the statement that "poor people have become too dependent on government assistance programs." That's up from 69 percent in 2007.
"The economic downturn has made the middle class less generous toward others," said Guy Molyneux, a partner at Hart Research Associates, a Washington firm that researches attitudes toward the poor. "People are less supportive of the government helping the poor, because they feel they're not getting enough help themselves.
"It's a divided country, splitting on a fault line: those who think the poor are poor because they don't try enough, and those who think the poor simply need help."

The world's poorest people are being hurt most by climate change despite contributing least to its causes. The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) acknowledges this poignant and potentially devastating irony. CARE also understands the urgent need for action if poor people are to survive the consequences of climate change.
Climate change poses substantial challenges to the fight against poverty. Increasingly severe and frequent storms, droughts, etc. are washing away hard-won development gains. Meanwhile, changes in timing and total amount of rainfall are destroying rural economies dependent on simple farming and livestock herding.
Poor people are especially vulnerable to climate change due to the sensitivity of their livelihoods and the extensive constraints - such as low levels of formal schooling and political marginalisation - that frame their adaptive capacity. Therefore, the world's response to climate change has to challenge entrenched inequities and discriminatory power structures if we are to ensure that everyone can access the information, resources and support necessary for adaptation. But this hasn't happened. Instead, the international community has focused on building capacity within poor countries to integrate climate change in national policy frameworks.
Though helpful, this is wholly insufficient because vulnerability to climate change varies within countries, communities and even households. National-level efforts must be complemented by action at the grassroots that understands, targets and reduces the poorest people's vulnerability to climate change. In recognition of this principle, community-based adaptation is finally emerging as a critical part of the global response to climate change.
